Hi! My name is James. I'm a shepherd and hound mix recently brought up from Tennessee, so I'm a southern gent! While I love to snooze for hours on the couch and can sleep like a champ overnight (did I mention I'm completely house-broken!?), I do have a bit of a wild side. I have some hound in me so I need to run, sniff and search for all the smells! I love to be outside as much as I can and long walks are my favorite, I have a lot of energy that builds up so I really need a yard, if you live in the country that would be AMAZING! Or maybe we could go running together? Or I could play in the yard with you or your other dogs to tucker me out? I love squirrels (sometimes I think I can climb trees to get them) and sitting for treats. I learn best when there is something delicious as my reward for listening to you. Likes: People and leaning on them to show my affection. Yawning loudly like a walrus in the morning. Stretching like I do doggy yoga on a daily basis. Snuggles on the couch. Tug-of-war and hidden treat toys. Watching you cook - but I never jump up or go after food in your hand, I just like to sniff and be cute in hopes you'll share. I'm a little unsure how I feel about smaller dogs that make a lot of noise. Kids seem pretty cool but I don't always know how big I am around them. Busy intersections with lots of action kind of spook me still, but I'll get better, I promise!
