Looking for the perfect family dog? Meet Buddy, a 75 pound, six year old "Heinz 57" mixed breed. He is living with a foster mom who reports he is an ideal house dog: completely housebroken, loves his crate, has learned to travel well in the back seat of the car, is well behaved around food, has a very gentle mouth and absolutely LOVES people, especially children! Buddy arrived a few months ago with heartworm, but we gave him the treatment he needed and he is ready to find his perfect forever home. Because of his illness, he wasn't able to participate in dog playgroups, but has just started-he is a little apprehensive, but not aggressive at all-and more comfortable one on one than in a big group, but it is new to him! Like some other large breed dogs, he has a minor disc condition that has been managed with pain meds. We are starting to wean him off of the meds. Once you see him wag his whole back end when he sees you, you will fall in love with him! His foster mom is available to answer any questions you may have and would love to schedule a meet and greet with you anytime! He is one of about 100 dogs waiting meet you at Orphans on any given day!
