Meet all of our cats

Please visit our new cat wing, where you will find dozens of cats. Below is a selection of beautiful cats waiting for adoption.

Tina is the sweetest kitty you will ever meet! Loving & affectionate, gentle & mellow. This girl will curl up for a nap on anything soft - a blanket, bed, towel, or human lap. She loves spending the day soaking up every ray of sunshine she can. Tina is looking for a patient, kind human willing to give her the individualized support and care she requires. Originally found as a stray in Waukesha, WI, this sweet girl has become a staff and volunteer favorite. Tina has a spinal deformity that is either congenital or a previous injury that healed awkwardly. As a result, she is mainly incontinent. She can not hold her bladder as long as other cats, and may not recognize when she needs to use the litter box. She still tries to use the litter box regularly and is successful about half of the time. Tina requires daily baths to help keep her clean. She generally tolerates her spa time well, and always seems content for a nap after bath time. Since Tina can be messier than most cats, we find it useful to have sets of blankets and towels to rotate and make clean-up easier. Our shelter technicians and partner veterinarian can answer any questions you have about Tina's disability. Our vet does not believe that the problem will worsen in the future, but Tina does require extra support and care in her home environment. It's a labor of love, but it is incredibly rewarding to be the caretaker of an animal so desperately in need. Any potential adopter needs to understand that Tina will be a challenge and a commitment. But, if you are willing and able to take her on, Tina will reward you with endless love and bountiful cuddles. She is a truly beautiful soul and would be a perfect companion to anyone. Tina loves people - and we love her! She generally gets along with other cats, but has met a few individuals she doesn't like. We do believe she has potential to live in a home with other cats. Help us find Tina her forever home! Even though she has specific needs, we know that the perfect fit is out there for her. If it's at all possible that her perfect fit is you, please don't hesitate to call the shelter at 847-945-0235 and learn more about our golden girl Tina! I am looking for a foster to help with my medical needs.
