Hello! My name is Lays! If you see me in my kennel, you’ll already know how excited I am to meet you! Meeting new people and furry friends is one of my absolute favorite things, right up there with playing and running. I love getting back and head scratches, and I’m definitely a fan of being the center of attention. Look at me, and I’ll show you my moves—get ready for some professional-level dancing and butt wiggles! Life’s better when you’re having fun, and I’m always ready to bring the joy!
Lays had a great time during our temporary foster event- Check out what his foster family said about him.
“Lays is definitely a cuddle bug. We all loved taking turns snuggling on the couch and beanbag with him. He can even be a bit of a couch hog, but that’s ok 😂!He loves belly rubs and gentle armpit scratches. He will occasionally give gentle kisses as well. He is very gentle when taking treats. He even got to have a little turkey bacon at breakfast which he enjoyed.
Speaking of bacon, Lays makes the cutest grunting/snorting noises like a piglet when he’s happy. So far he has only barked once and very softly when our front door opened. He does indicate if he really needs to go potty by standing or sitting by the front door. He tends to jump excitedly when getting ready to go for walks. He also does this when he comes in from a walk and gets the zoomies. We have been trying to work with him by giving him his toy bones- he’s super smart!
On walks, he pulls a bit but we seems responsive to training. He will take notice of other dogs but does not have any other reaction. He does love seeing the squirrels and birds though! He was such good with both our girls age 6 and 10. Overall, he is such a good, sweet boy!”
