The Anatolian Shepherd dog was developed to be independent and forceful. These traits make it challenging as a pet. They are not recommended for life in small quarters. They do well with other animals, including cats if they are introduced while still a puppy and have their own space. They seem to have little interest in fetching. Rather, they prefer to run and sometimes swim. Get acquainted with this dog off leash in one of our family run areas. Most dogs will need to run off some energy before they settle down and get acquainted with you. Thanks!
