Meet all of our cats

Please visit our new cat wing, where you will find dozens of cats. Below is a selection of beautiful cats waiting for adoption.

Lulu is a unique kitty looking for a home that can work with her individual needs. She originally came to Orphans of the Storm in July 2020 after she was surrendered by her owner due to hoarding. Because Lulu grew up in a home with lots of places to hide, she has maintained this habit. She can often be found somewhere that feels safe and hidden for her, a perfect place to survey her environment! She likes covered hidey holes and beds. In her original home, she lived beside humans but did not receive much physical contact. This is clear in her behavior in our main cat house. Lulu is used to humans existing around her, but she is still distrustful of touch. With people she knows, she will allow brief petting or brushing sessions. But most often she likes to be admired from afar. While Lulu is still nervous about physical affection, don't let this shyness fool you. This cat LOVES to play!! Catnip, interactive toys, jingle balls, plush kicker toys, wand toys, you name it! Lulu can entertain herself for hours just playing. She loves to chase wand toys and is always happy to play with human staff members and volunteers. She's often the first cat in the room to jump in and start playing. A family willing to provide new, fun toys and spend time actively playing with her would bring her so much joy. Lulu is a quirky cat that never learned what it means to be a pet loved by a human. She has made progress trusting people, and could probably make huge strides in a stable home of her own with people that will love her forever. Due to her shy demeanor, she would do best in a home with adults only or a home with teens that are familiar with cats. Lulu just needs a patient, kind human that is willing to respect her physical boundaries and truly take the time to earn her trust. Do you think that could be you?
