Ebbie. This female Shepherd mix was surrendered by her owner with no explanation. She has called the shelter home now for 3 and a half years. At 10 years old she is hopeful for a real home with special people where she can live out here remaining years. Her deep brown eyes connect with visitors at the shelter as if to say, "Won't you please consider me? I will be good and make you proud if you will just give me the chance." The shelter is only meant as a stop over for a dog on his way to a better life. Sleeping on concrete makes for aches and pains in an older dog's joints. Ebbie only asks for a caring person who will supply a bed and her daily medication. Ebbie is on medication for her bladder control and does well on it. It is not very expensive. Ebbie can go into a home with or without another dog as long as she has a special person to bond with. Ebbie rides in the car well and thoroughly enjoys her outings whether a walk up the Riverwoods bike trail or an adoption event around town. Ebbie would be great for an older person in a quiet home. She doesn't need a lot of exercise but would enjoy a daily walk and a yard to stretch her legs. You can meet Ebbie any day at the shelter she is in kennel #65.
