Orphans of the Storm® animal shelter is the final refuge for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs and cats throughout northeastern Illinois each year. The shelter is committed to offering the finest in care and individual attention with a final goal of placing each and every animal into a warm and loving adoptive forever home.

Orphans of the Storm is a not-for-profit, non-government subsidized, section 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Orphans of the Storm animal shelter offsite adoption events and fundraisers.

Volunteer are needed to transport dogs, introduce the dogs at the events. speak with the public about the shelter and generally help run the events. It's easy and it's fun, for the dogs and people.
